I’ve been thinking a lot about moonshots. Not following overhyped trends. But to boldy go where others are not. To explore.
I’m not the only one. The latest EF batch demands audacity. Andreas Klinger has been interviewing the startups who breathe it. Residencies are shifting power from VCs to builders.

Yet audacity does not begin at pre-seed. One has to start much earlier, by cultivating curiosity. The online world should make exploration trivial, yet I fear it is culturally undervalued.

In quiet rooms, I don’t feel this fear. We hosted our first Frontier Dinner last night, titled “2026, The Robot Moment?” with 16 of London’s top robotics founders, building the future right here in the UK. Discussion ranged from the deeply technical, to the difficult decisions and emotional toil of being a founder. Can’t wait for the next one!

We are exploring “Taste in the Age of AI” on Tuesday. Then a month later we’ll be addressing this question of moonshots head on.

In other new, you can now reserve a hotel room on the Moon. Perhaps this is a moonshot too far? You could just sign up to the FT waitlist instead. I know which I’d rather do 😉

Frontier Dinners

We are hosting a series of curated +1 dinners across the different verticals of our community to create a space to share expertise from the frontiers of technology.

The robotics dinner was incredible. Next up we’ll be addressing the role of Blockchain in “How we Trust in a Post AI World” and then diving deep into BioTech.

Salons, Forums & more

We’re hosting our first salon on “Taste in the Age of AI” on Tuesday.

Then a month later we will be debuting a Frontier Tower Forum to address the question, “What does it take to build a moonshot company in the UK”. We’re just polishing this one up, but I’m very excited!

Put Friday 20th February in the calendar!!!

Our Events:

After Hours Salon: Taste in the Age of AI

Tuesday 20th January, Old St

When the barrier to creation disappears, does culture follow?
Or by mastering elements such as messaging and emotional storytelling can the worlds of tech and art collide.

We’re bringing together techno-optimists, artists and the builders of the tech they love and hate to find out. Expect drinks, nibbles, a few provocations from people who've thought hard about this, and the kind of conversations that spill over into the night.

We’re going to start the discussion from a few specialists in the field then let it propagate into informal chats.

The Specialists:
We’ve got Aaron Jones, founder of Yepic and now VideoStack.ai - a new kind of AI creative engine; Rachy McEwan, interdisciplinary artist exploring relationships between human, non-human, digital, and physical environments; Luke Nelmes, CMO at Bigged - a creative intelligence platform helping brands understand why ideas spread and which creative wins.
