Not Everybody Wants to Rule the World. But I want to convince more people to change it.

I’ve been repeatedly inspired by the energy and passion in the spaces we’ve been creating these past few weeks. From trust to robotics to art, the niches of London are alive with conversations that could change the world.
On Friday we gathered Floor Leads and community builders from the ecosystem to meet Jakob, one of the founders of Frontier Tower. The energy and excitement was undeniable. We think we are in a unique position to amplify this.

But there are questions to be asked about how best to do this. Who do we shout to? Who do we bring with us on this journey. So we’re hosting a forum on the 20th February to answer this question, “How can we foster moonshot companies in the UK.”

And speaking of moonshots, OpenCosmos launched a satellite!!!

The story behind ARIA is an interesting one, explored in a BBC radio programme. It seems a shame that government investment of this scale (now £400M / year) goes mostly under the radar of mainstream news. I often wonder if it is to minimise backlash, especially when investing in non-UK companies. I think this is another question we should address.

I also stumbled across Tyler Denk, the founder of beehiiv - the platform this is written on - sharing how they grew in the early days. I think there’s a few of lessons here for finding your 1000 true fans in all spaces.

Have a vision for something new in the London ecosystem? Want to host an event? Want to lead a floor?

Frontier Dinners

We are hosting a series of curated +1 dinners across the different verticals of our community to create a space to share expertise from the frontiers of technology.

The robotics dinner was incredible. We’re just finalising the next dinner on “How we Trust in a Post AI World” and then exploring the growing NeuroTech scene in the UK.

Moonshot: A Frontier Tower Forum

Friday 20th February, 5-8pm, Soho Square

We’re teaming up with our friends at 50Y to host our first Frontier Tower Forum, addressing the question, “What does it take to build a moonshot company in the UK”.

Founders leading groundbreaking companies, exceptional builders making their next move, and the ecosystem players backing decade-long bets. The right people in one room house talking about what we can actually do to enable transformational companies.

And wrapping up with an afterparty, because no one changed the world without having a little fun!

Spaces are limited, so we’re prioritising FT waitlist members, DeepTech founders and ecosystem folks for this one.

Invitations going out this week. 🚀🚀🚀
