Happy February Awesome People!!!

There’s something about hopping on a train that clears your head.
Motion often provides the space to think. To step back and see things from a new perspective. Perhaps the greatest expression of this is the Overview Effect seeing the Earth from space, and I see no reason to stop the space metaphors just yet!

I also find very comforting. Some people need to be in constant motion to stay sane. I think I’m one of them. I wonder if all builders are. Motion is the force of creation; change doesn’t come from standing still.

Moving brings you face to face with the scale of nature and humanity. This is impressive and inspiring. I write this winding my way through the Swiss Alps. The ambition and technicality of engineering, as well as the quality of the product / experience is the result of someone who wasn’t content to stay put.

I’ve been pondering who the antecedent of today’s founders is. Certainly there were the industrial tycoons of that revolution, but long before there were the explorers, the adventurers, the sailors who scraped together funds and backing to venture into the unknown. Yet History mires them in a moral and political minefield. Will we see the same with today’s founders outpacing regulation to shape the future.

Countless funds have been committed to agent-to-agent communication to build the future of the internet, and yet it seems to have been unleashed open-source, practically overnight in the form of moltbook. How this will be remembered, only Time will tell…

Whilst we can’t (yet) send you to space at Frontier Tower, a serendipitous conversation well outside your comfort zone can have a somewhat similar effect. The possibility of discovering problems and solutions from outside your own bubble is the magic of our community, and what we can’t wait to unleash on London.
